We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the Young Christians in Action Youth Sports, Inc. (YCAYS) and the Skills-2-Scholarships (S2S) Rams Basketball Program. Established in 1994, the Program continues strive to be the premiere youth basketball facilitator, teaching the fundamentals and skills in a fun atmosphere, developing team and social experiences, and make these experiences affordable and available for all participants. YCAYS was also formed to allow a group of coaches to develop a basketball program designed for young student athletes who are serious about basketball and look to compete at a local, regional, and national level, in preparation for the collegiate level.

 

YCAYS is composed of a volunteer group of committed coaches, parents, and administrators working together to support and have a positive impact on the lives of young athletes, their families, and the community.  One of our many sayings is “ONE TEAM, ONE FAMILY ONE HEARTBEAT”. However, we are different from other basketball programs in that we are a small nonprofit Program that does not receive any governmental or grant assistance. Our primary revenue source is registration fees paid by families, proceeds from our fundraisers, and donations received from generous individuals and businesses such as yourself. Since these funds do not cover the entire Program’s operating expenses, families often must raise their own funds to pay for equipment, jerseys, training fees, court rentals, insurance, travel, and tournament entry fees. The average cost per player per year to participate is over $2,800 dollars. This season our teams will be traveling to cities across Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky. It is our goal that every student-athlete has the opportunity to participate in our organization regardless of their financial situation.

 

In order to make this rewarding experience a reality for our youth, we are reaching out directly to area businesses, family, and friends, and offering the opportunity to help by becoming a RAM sponsor! Your contributions will be targeted exclusively to lower the growing costs for the Program’s players, enabling them to fully participate in training, league play, and tournament play while also off-setting costs for equipment, uniforms, and travel. While any sponsorship level you select will be greatly appreciated, a donation of $500 or more will earn you a Proud Team Sponsor Plaque with a photo of the team to display on your office wall, a valuable marketing tool as well.
